Originally designed as a sectional warping demonstration, the first five yards of fabric came off the loom and was exhibited at Convergence '96 "Lengths of Time" yardage exhibit in Portland, Oregon. It took another six years to clear the remaining 6 yards from the loom. Everything has its season.
